Examines civilizations and cultures as they evolved from Eastern, Western, African, North American, and South American influences. The students relate diverse cultures to their impact on contemporary society, politics, and world events.

Cultural Diversity

Examines the most important elements of cultural diversity, understanding, and awareness. Students will explore various communication styles, sociocultural theory, and topics related to race, gender, class, and other sociological categories. The overall goal is to exemplify the challenges and benefits of diversity and strengthen the possibilities of living and working together in a multicultural society.
