About

I am a historian who specializes in American and world history. My research interests lie generally in the areas of social and cultural history; intellectual history and the history of philosophy; the history of science and technology; economic and labor history; and the history of the arts, including music, visual and performing arts, film, and literature. My current research focuses on late twentieth-century politics, social movements, and artistic developments that influenced Generation X.

Additionally, I am an adjunct professor with University of Maryland Global Campus and Virginia Peninsula Community College. I hold a B.A. in philosophy and cultural studies from Arizona State University, an M.A. in humanities from California State University, and an M.A. in world history from Norwich University. I am currently a Ph.D. candidate in American cultural and intellectual history at Ohio University, where I am a research fellow with the Contemporary History Institute.
